Patients Database

The patient's folder is organized in easy-to-browse swipable tabs: General profile info, medical anamnesis, medicines, photos, payments and treatment's progress and a follow-up reminder system.

Patient data and Treatment Plan Printing

For every patient, Folda enables you to select the sections you want to print or export to PDF. These include general info, medical history, treatments and payments, diagnosis and prescriptions. You can also add your business logo in the documents.

Appointments Organizer

Folda uses your Google Calendar to synchronize appointments. A simple interface with shortcuts and auto-completed text helps you arrange your appointments faster.

Upload photos

Upload your photos directly in your Dropbox account. With this tool, you can transfer your data to other devices.

SMS Reminder

You can schedule a SMS reminder for your patients 1 to 5 days before the date of the follow-up examination. The SMS will be sent using your SIM card or via the SMS.to API (internet service).

Online and Offline

Folda syncronizes with the cloud and your other connected devices, but an internet connection is not required as it can operate offline also.

Treatments and Prices Catalog

A customizable pricelist with all your treatments and prices helps you manage your practice easier. All these are linked to auto-complete text fields for easy entry in the patient's treatment's progress section.

Earnings & Expenses

Folda keeps track of payments and remainders for each patient and calculates your monthly income, expenses and net profit. You can export to PDF/print the payments/expenses for a selected period. A special list with all pending payments is also available.

Price: The app requires a monthly subscription of 5.99€ + VAT (converted to your local currency). After the purchase, you are allowed to install Folda on your other devices using the same gmail account at no additional charge.

1. What are the application's minimum system requirements?

Folda operates on smartphones and tablets with the following minimum requirements:

  • Android OS version 6.0 or newer
  • An real Android mobile device (tablet, smartphone) or a PC/Mac with BlueStacks or other Android emulator (Nox, Genymotion etc.) installed.
  • Minimum 4" screen size
  • Google Calendar app (get it from Google Play Store)
  • The app is not compatible with iPhones and iPads.

2. Will I lose my data if my device stops working or lost?

In Folda, your data are automatically stored both in the Cloud and in your device. In this way they are safe in case of device theft or damage.

3. Why is Google Play not accepting my payment?

There may be several reasons why your payment isn’t going through. Please click here to view possible solutions and troubleshooting steps.

5. Can I use Folda on more than one device with only one suscription, without paying extra?

Yes. You can install Folda on multiple devices at no additional cost, as long as you use the same Google account.
Your subscription covers all installations, so you only need one active monthly subscription. To make sure your subscription is recognized across all your devices, please check the following:
1. Add the Google account you used to purchase the subscription to each of your devices.
2. Make sure this account is selected as the active account in the Google Play app.
3. Install Folda from Google Play while logged in with that same account.

⚠️If a different account is active in Google Play, your subscription may not be recognized.

Please note that it may take a few minutes to a few hours for your subscription status to update across all your devices.

5. What languages are supported?

Folda contains translations for English, Français, Русский, Español, Deutsch, Português, Română, Italiano, Türkçe, Ελληνικά, Hebrew, Shqip, বাংলা and العربية .The application detects the language setting of your device and automatically applies the correct translation.
The app automatically detects your device’s language settings and applies the appropriate translation.

6. How are my appointments synchronized with my Google calendar?

To sync your appointments with Google Calendar:
1. Go to the Settings menu on the Folda main screen
2. Select the Google account you want to use for synchronization
3. The same Google account must be present and active in all your devices
Once set up:

  • Your appointments will automatically sync with Google Calendar whenever you add or edit them in Folda
  • Updates are synced across all your devices using the same account
  • Synchronization typically takes a few seconds to a few minutes

  • For example, if you create an appointment on one device, it will appear on your other devices shortly after.
    ⚠️ If you change your Google account or update your password, you will need to sign in again to the Google Calendar app on all your devices to restore synchronization.

    7. If I install Folda on more than one device, are my data synchronized automatically among them?

    Yes, via cloud synchronization.

    8. What do I need to enable printing in a Wi-Fi printer?

    To print from your device, you need to enable the Printing Service:
    1. Open your device’s Settings
    2. Go to Printing
    3. Select Add Service to install and configure your printer
    Once set up, you’ll be able to print directly from your Android device to a compatible Wi-Fi printer.

    10. If I add appointments to Google Calendar from another device, will Folda display them?

    Yes. Folda can display appointments created directly in Google Calendar, but you need to do the following:

  • When creating the event in Google Calendar, enter the word FOLDA in the Event Location field
  • This ensures the appointment will be recognized and shown within the Folda app.

    11. Can I install Folda on my Windows PC/Mac?

    Yes-although Folda is designed for Android devices, you can still use it on a computer by installing an Android emulator, such as:

  • BlueStacks emulator
  • Nox emulator
  • Genymotion
  • Once the emulator is installed, you can download and run Folda just like on an Android device.

    12.How do I manage my subscription (cancellation, refund, invoice)?

    To manage your subscription, including cancellations, refund requests, and invoices, please sign in to your Google Play Payments & Subscriptions account using the same Google account you used to purchase the Folda subscription.

    From there, you can:
  • View your active and past subscriptions
  • Cancel or renew subscriptions
  • View your active and past subscriptions
  • Access payment history and download invoices/receipts
  • Update your payment method and billing details
  • Request refunds (where eligible)
  • ⚠️ Make sure you are logged in with the correct Google account associated with your Folda subscription and payments.

    • Where does the app save my data and how is it used?
    • Folda collects and maintains your data inside the internal memory of your device and also in a server. The data stored in the local database is also transmitted and stored on a Google server in order to enable synchronization of the app data between the devices on which you have the app installed.

    • How can I request the deletion of my data from the server?
    • At any time, you have the option to request the deletion of your data which are stored in the server. To do so, open the Settings menu found in Folda main screen and tap on the option named "Request to delete my data". This action will inform us so that we can proceed to the final removal of your stored data.

    • Does the application use my email or userid?
    • Folda uses your email and your userid without storing them permanently, in order to authenticate your account so that the application can access your data which are stored in the server.

    • Can the app send a SMS without asking me first?
    • Folda allows you to schedule SMS reminders for your patients. For example, you may want to schedule a recall examination 6 months after the treatment. If you activate the SMS Reminder option, the application will open the default SMS-app of your device in order to send a SMS to the selected phone number(s). You will be notified that the SMS has been sent successfully or failed.

    • Can the app make calls or read the state of my phone?
    • Yes. This only happens when you use the app to call a number or send a SMS to a saved patient. The content of your SMS messages and phone calls are transported via your mobile carrier. We are not involved in this communication and we do not collect the contents of the call or SMS or any other personal information.

    • How does the app handle location data?
    • Folda does not use or collect any data related to your geographic location.

    • Do you collect or share personal information?
    • No personal information is collected, transmitted, or maintained by the app, we do not share personal information with anyone.

    • Do advertising companies collect data?
    • No data is shared with advertising companies.

    • Does the app software use my device camera without my permission or notification?
    • No. When you install the app, it asks for your permission to use the camera. You are in control when the app will use the camera of your device.

    • Where does the app stores the photos I make via the app?
    • The photos are stored in your device storage. The app also allows you to make a backup of these files by transmitting them to your private Dropbox folder.

    • Does the app read my accounts names and the contacts of my accounts?
    • Yes. This happens in order to be able to add a contact in the patients database and to add/edit your appointments. You control when this will happen. The app does not store, maintain or transmit your account details or your contacts' details and list.

    • Can the app use the microphone of my device?
    • Yes. This only happens when you want to convert speech to text. The app does not record or save the sound.

    • Restrictions for Personal and Sensitive Data Access
    • The app does not handle financial or payment information or government identification numbers, non-public phonebook or contact information. It does not contains anti-virus or security functionality, such as anti-virus, anti-malware, or security-related features. The app does not target children and does not include an SDK that is not approved for use in child-directed services. The app does not collect or link persistent device identifiers (e.g., IMEI, IMSI, SIM Serial #, etc.)
    • Storage: the app requests permission to access the phone’s storage only in order to store the user's image files and the patients database records. The app does not access any image files without asking the user first.
    • Contacts: the app accesses the contacts on the phone in order to create a new patient record from the contact's details. The contacts information is not transmitted nor stored in any server.
    • Backup in Dropbox: A user that desires to backup the data that are stored inside the app, can do so by using the Remote Access menu which uploads the data to the cloud storage (Dropbox). The app does not store the user's photos on any server other than those of Dropbox and no one but the user or any app that the user authorized have access to these files. The user account and authorization information is only stored locally and internal by the app and is not transmitted or stored anywhere else.
    • Personal information: We made the app with your privacy in mind, so we do not collect personally identifiable information about you. We do not collect information such as your name, address, phone number, email address or precise geographic location.
    • Changes: Our Privacy Policy may change occasionally. We will not reduce your rights under this Privacy Policy without providing explicit, advance notice. We will post any privacy policy changes on this page.
    • Permissions: In detail, the permissions that the app needs in order to work properly are:

      android.permission.CAMERA: To take a photo using the camera of your device.
      android.permission.READ_CALENDAR: To load your appointments.
      android.permission.WRITE_CALENDAR: To create a new appointment or edit existing one.
      android.permission.READ_CONTACTS: To add an existing contact in the patients database.
      android.permission.WRITE_CONTACTS: To create a new contact from the patients database.
      android.permission.GET_ACCOUNTS: To select what account to use for saving the appointments and contacts.
      android.permission.READ_PHONE_STATE: To determine if your device can make calls and send SMS.
      android.permission.CALL_PHONE: To make a call.
      android.permission.WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE: To save image files.
      android.permission.INTERNET, android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE and android.permission.ACCESS_WIFI_STATE: To know if your device is connected to the Internet so it can perform synchronization
